Work It, Girl

Sorry for being MIA this past weekend! I spent it flying to Baltimore, driving to Bucknell for a friend's engagement, and then driving back up to NYC for dinner in the city with friends and a work day from our New York office. It was hectic to say the least, but the best kind possible. This past weekend was actually the first time in 3 years that my college roommates and I had all been together again and being able to celebrate one of my best friends engagements was an event to remember.

Now, onto the real topic of today. Over the past month or so, I've been feeling really out of my groove with my exercise schedule. After completing the Pure Bare 20 in 31 day challenge I kind of felt myself in a workout rut and it's been really hard to pull myself out of it. Please tell me this happens to you too?

Whenever this happens, I find the best thing to do is to give myself a new schedule and bribe myself with some new workout gear. I'm jumping back into yoga and trying to balance a schedule of barre, yoga, weight training, and cardio to mix things up a bit. I've also been eyeing some new gear I can get as a prize for getting my tush to the gym. I swear I work out 10x harder when I have a good workout outfit on! I firmly believe that if you look good, you feel good and that can totally translate to a workout too!

Here's a little ensemble I threw together that would totally encourage me to make it to a 6 am barre class.

I actually own a few of these pieces already and absolutely love them. I swear by these Target sports bras and my Nike Free's have taken me over 100 miles according to my Nike running app. I also still use my BKR bottle on the daily so its cost per use is already down to the pennies.

What makes you motivated to work out? Any tips you'd like to share with a girl in a slump?

xxo, Kristen
