Transitioning to Fall

Even though stores are stocking plaid and kiddos are back in school, it's still one million degrees here in Texas, which is leavin' us girls in the South in a tricky limbo between Summer and Fall. My mind (and Pinterest board) are craving booties and leather, but my body is telling me to put on a swimsuit and stay as close to a pool as possible.

What's a girl to do when she's being pulled in two completely different fashion directions? Get out those transitional pieces and start to mix between the two.

Here are a few shades I'll be bringing out to get myself through the next few weeks before we officially welcome fall!

Red and blue are both still nautical enough to be summery and the mocha color is a great neutral to bring you into fall without feeling too dark or dreary.

What are your go-to transitional pieces? Is it still full-blown summer where you live, or is the weather starting to feel crisp? How do you deal with this middle-state of seasons? I'll take all of the tips I can get!

xxo, Kristen
