{Coffee Convo} Winter White

I decided to try out a new feature on the blog called "Coffee Convo." The idea behind it being that I wanted a place where I can sit and chat with you about something like we're catching-up over Saturday morning coffee. Except that really on Saturdays I teach Saturday School, and in reality it's less of a conversation and more of a blog post. But we can pretend, right?

Today's topic: winter white.

White nails were everywhere during NYFW and I can't get them off my mind. Lighter nails were popping-up all over my Blogloving feed and I was seriously digging the look. While white isn't traditionally a winter color, these ladies had me questioning the whole no white after labor day rule. There's just something about the look that's fresh and exciting.

One of my favorite bloggers Molly from A Piece of Toast asked in one of her most recent posts if dark nail polish is "still cool." I say any color that makes you feel good is "cool" which means dark nails are here to stay, but they're definitely not edgy like they used to be. Remember in middle school when black nails were scary and "goth?" They've completely transitioned out of that genre and into every day normal. One of my very best friends wears dark nails to her highly professional job, which shows how commonplace those darker colors have become.

If you want to switch-up your nail game, go for white or a different lighter hue. I personally love Essie's  "Find Me an Oasis" because it's a near white with a tint of blue. You can see what it looks like on in my post here.

What are your thoughts on winter white? Are you as smitten as I am?

I hope you enjoyed the first {Coffee Convo}! Hopefully many more will follow.

xxo, Kristen
