{Friday Five}

With school starting-up on Monday, this past week has been hectic to say the least. So... here's a quick Friday Five to hold you through 'til Sunday's fun post!

1. Sleep
Getting a good night's sleep has been the absolute best thing I've done all week. I so frequently get wrapped-up in something right before bedtime (be it blogging, reading, or anything else) and before I know it it's 1 am. This week I've been extra strict with myself regarding bedtime and it's made a huge difference on how I feel. I have had way more energy and have generally just been an all-around better person. So, if you haven't been getting your 8 hours, take some time to yourself and try it. It's worth it, I promise.

2. The Killers & The Black Keys
... Pandora stations, that is. I've been listening to them non-stop this week while I've been working in my classroom. My genre of choice is normally country, but for some reason this more fast-paced music has been really doing it for me lately.

3. Trader Joe's
Growing-up in California, I've been a longtime fan of Trader Joe's, so imagine my excitement when a brand new store opened only 6 minutes from my apartment. I've gone at least twice a week since the grand opening to stock-up on all sorts of healthy goodies. My current favorite? Pre-shelled and ready-to-eat edamame. It's the perfect thing to throw in some quinoa or top a salad.

4. My new Hot Pink Nalgene Water Bottle
... because it's hot pink and holds water and has a sweet sticker on it from my favorite new yoga studio. Plus it doesn't leak, which is the number one improvement from my old water bottle!

Sometimes you just need that extra boost to get you going and the Daily Motivation posts from The Berry are just that. They're funny, inspiring, and leave you feel like you can run a marathon or just kick-butt in general at being your best "you" you can be. If you're in a slump or maybe just need some encouraging words, you should stop by tomorrow and check it out!

That's it for this week. Stay tuned for  Sunday's post celebrating back-to-school!

xxo Kristen
